it seems possible that the universe switches into a dramatically different direction to the extent that it currently stimulates our sense of irony and betrayal, and I'm open to the idea that the new direction comes from within according to the will of the universe
And when the next universe starts its roll, will the second person be the one who asks the "Will I be you?" question, and thus begin the game? Or will that being be so different from us that it's not really interesting? It's a little known truth, that the universe is not the way it is because it is the way it is. (I'm sure some very smart people would be able to explain it better than I can.) It is rather because it is a particular way, that we perceive it as the way it is. The universe, however, is not the same as how we perceive it, or how it behaves. It's like the way I view the world around me through my own personal lens. It's easy to see that other people have lenses that we can see on their faces, and I often see myself in them. People who are on the same wavelength as I am, tend to have a similar lens. What we perceive as real is not the real world, but only an image of that world in our minds, because there are parts of that world that we cannot see, like the space behind our eyes. Because it's easy to see it is the real world to us, that we perceive it to be. What we call the "reality" is in part an illusion, and the part of that illusion that we feel as real, is the part of the illusion that affects our feelings. It's the part of the illusion that we perceive as "out there", and not "in here", because that's the side we can directly influence by our choices, and our decisions to act. This is the nature of this illusion, and how it works to affect our lives.
